Ben Brücher
Ben Brücher is a Project Leader at the Ax:son Johnson Institute for Statecraft and Diplomacy.
Ben has completed a BA and MA in History at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich and an additional MA at the Department of War Studies at King’s College London. Throughout his academic journey, Ben’s research focused on the intricacies of state of exception and extra-legal necessity concepts in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
Ben previously worked at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich as a Research Associate, where he led seminars on historical transformations of wars and conflicts and developed a multi-disciplinary workshop on comparative perspectives on states of emergencies. Additionally, he is a Research Fellow of the Young Security Conference Think Tank, exploring European foreign and security policy.
As Project Leader, he will assist in AJI’s operations, event planning, and programme development.
