Dr. Ronan Mainprize

Ronan Mainprize is an AJI Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Statecraft and Strategic Communication. He is a scholar of international politics, American foreign policy, and intelligence.

Ronan’s academic work has been published in Intelligence and National Security, the Journal of American Studies, and the Journal of Intelligence History. He has also written for outlets such as War on the Rocks, Engelsberg Ideas, and The Cipher Brief, and has featured in both the Swedish and international media. While at CSSC, Ronan is completing a manuscript on Lyndon Johnson’s global Cold War policies and his relationship with the CIA.

Ronan was awarded a PhD in Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick in 2024. He currently sits on the board of the Society for Intelligence History.
